Trail walk at Sabbathday Lake Wednesday July 10

Wednesday Walkers with master naturalist Marie Camillo Reimensnyder (purple shirt) at the start of the Stream Trail

We enjoyed our walk with master naturalist Marie Camillo Reimensnyder from Royal River Conservation Trust examining the many types of ferns on the Talking Brook Public Land.  We also were surprised by a muskrat swimming in the pool at the top of Big Falls.  It was having fun in the water and running over the rocks.

Next, we are going to walk along the shore of Sabbathday Lake on the Shaker Conservation Land, Wednesday at 10 a.m., July 10.  We will meet at 106 Outlet Road in New Gloucester.  Park on the lake side along the road and please watch for the traffic when walking along the road.

Be mindful of the hotter weather and walking conditions.  Water and good walking shoes are always a good idea.

Stay active and safe.
