We had a good-sized group for the Big Falls Preserve hike this past week. The trail maintains an easy ascent and meets up with Meadow Brook which leads to a pool with waterfalls. We passed an old 1947 Plymouth along the way as we bemoaned the end of fall and its brilliant colors.
We decided to go back to the Pisgah Hill Preserve Wednesday October 19th at 10 a.m. I contacted Terry Dewan who is the steward for Pisgah Hill Preserve and lives next door. He has invited us to explore the trails on his property. We will start on the Pisgah Hill trailhead and will connect to Terry’s trails and finish by climbing to the top of Pisgah Hill. It will give us a little longer walk and a chance to see something new in the area. You can find the directions here.
Please be prepared for the trail terrain which will have leaves and roots along the way. Wearing orange this time of year is a good practice. Stay safe and keep walking.
