Wednesday Walkers at Poland Spring Preservation Park Wed. Feb. 21

Wednesday Walkers on a bright, frigid day at Pineland

The brave and the hardy came out last week – winds were very strong and the temps low at Pineland so we opted to stay on the roads nearest the buildings for protection.  Everyone got some exercise but there was not much lingering around after the walk to talk.

We will meet at the Poland Spring Preservation Park at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21.  The address is 37 Preservation Way, Poland Spring, ME.  Turning off from Route 26 in Poland for the Poland Spring Inn, go up the hill towards the Inn and keep going past the chapel on your right and under the iron gate at the top of the hill.  Proceed down the hill to the parking lot on the right where the trails sign stands.  There is information about the trails here.

We will assess the walking conditions that morning to determine where best to walk – trails or road.  Please dress for the weather and terrain conditions. We’ve experienced a little of everything the last few weeks.

Stay safe and active,
Anne Maurice
