Wednesday Walkers at Pineland March 15

Ten of us had a good walk at Range Pond State Park last Wednesday.  We mostly stayed on the trail going towards the bottling plant.  A few of us went on the lake for the return trip.  That will be our last outing on water for this season – the hot sun is quickly making the snow on top of the ice very soft.  There is still plenty of ice, but it’s not so much fun for walking at this time of year.

We decided to go back to Pineland because it is a sure bet with the quickly melting snow and more weather coming this week.  We can always walk the hilly roads safely.  Let’s meet on March 16, 10 am, at the parking lot near the Conference Center,  bldg. 19 – brick building facing Route 231/Intervale Road.  You can find the Pineland map on the visitor’s guide here.

Conditions should be fine for walking without ice grippers, but you never know.  I’m keeping mine in my car for a few more weeks.  : )

Have a good week.  Stay safe and keep active.
