A good-sized group took a steady-paced walk along Black Point and Sunset Shore Roads last week. We managed to get in two-plus miles with some uphills and downhills. The roads are very quiet and allowed for many conversations and lookout points for Sabbathday Lake which is still covered with ice.
With yesterday’s snow storm, we will have to stay on another local road this week. Tobey Road will provide us a two-mile trek. Let’s meet on April 2nd, at 10 a.m. at 301 Tobey Road, New Gloucester. We can park along the side of the road and, after we gather, head down Tobey Road towards Cider Mill Road. Tobey Road is on the transfer station side of town and won’t have much traffic.
Please come prepared for the weather and walking conditions.
Stay active and safe,
Anne Maurice
