Wednesday Walk at Quarry Road March 29

A large group of walkers (24) gathered at the Poland Spring Preservation Park last Wednesday.  We started out on one of the trails in the woods, but ended up going to the road because we were sinking into the snow.  We walked from the Park up the hill and around the Maine State Building and back down.  It was a pretty day and there were lots of conversations going on while walking.

For our walk on March 29, 10:00 am, we will meet at Quarry Road and Route 26 (Maine Street) in New Gloucester.  We plan to walk Quarry Road which is closed to traffic until May.  There is parking on Quarry Road before you get to the barriers.  The road has not been plowed this winter and there may be some snow left, but not much at this point.  It will be an easy walk with little elevation.

Please dress for the weather and the walking conditions of the day.

Stay safe and keep active.
