Voting on the school district budget

MSAD15 is required by the state to hold a budget validation meeting prior to election day. It’s structured like a town meeting, with residents voting on several articles.

With about 160 people from both Gray and New Gloucester attending the meeting on May 22, the budget passed but the outcome was close. All voters can weigh in on the budget at the polls on June 10.

Gray-New Gloucester High School has been rated #6 out of 126 high schools in Maine by US News & World Reports, even though the district has one of the lowest per pupil expenditures in the region, and the state. Here is a financial comparison of districts in our area.

For the 2025-26 budget presentation overview, see the slides here.
On the MSAD15 website, see details about the budget and related materials here.

Don’t forget to vote on Tuesday, June 10 at the NG Fire Station, 611 Lewiston Road from 6 am to 8 pm.
