The New Gloucester Public Library Board of Trustees would like to show their appreciation for Suzan Hawkins who recently retired after serving as a librarian there for 38 years. A video is being made featuring community members recounting library anecdotes and expressing their thanks to her on camera.

It’s not too late to participate. The public is invited to come to the Meetinghouse, 389 Intervale Road, from 10 am to noon this Saturday, Feb. 20 and say goodbye in a safe, socially distant manner – no more than three people inside at a time. (Please use back entrance and wear a mask.) Sue will not be there, but the Cable TV Committee will be doing the recording and editing the well wishes from the community. Afterward, she will be presented with the video.

Additionally, greeting cards for Sue will be collected if you would like to drop one off during that time.
