Upper Village multiplex returns to Planning Board Feb. 7

Five Maples, LLC, is slated to return to the Planning Board on Tuesday, February 7, for continued review of its proposed multiplex at 52 Peacock Hill Road. The meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the Meetinghouse and will be live-streamed on Castus at this link.

Five Maples wants to convert an existing farmhouse into a multiplex for Airbnb-type rentals in the Upper Village zone (Map 19 Lot 26). It has proposed a four-unit structure.

The project has been the subject of Planning Board review sessions and a public hearing, but further action has awaited Five Maples’s submission of an analysis of the site’s net residential acreage. The study will determine how many units the parcel can support now or in the future. Under the town’s zoning ordinance, a multiplex needs at least one acre of buildable land per unit after subtracting for unsuitable soils, septic, wetlands and the like.

Five Maples has now submitted its net residential acreage study for the parcel. The study can be found in the February 7 meeting packet, along with other project documents and the meeting agenda, on the Planning Board webpage at this link.
