This year, the American Lung Association’s annual Trek Across Maine fundraiser will start Friday June 13 and finish Sunday June 15 at Pineland Farms in New Gloucester. Please keep an eye out for lots of two-wheeled company on area roads through the from Friday June 13 to Sunday June 15.
The three-day cycling event begins Friday, June 13, with a 56-mile route from Pineland through Pownal to Freeport and Brunswick and on through Lisbon to Bates College in Lewiston as Day One.
Day Two takes riders 57 miles from the Bates campus to Saint Joseph’s College in Standish. The route winds and climbs through Auburn, Minot and Poland and past Thompson Lake and Pleasant Lake to St. Joe’s on Sebago Lake.
The Trek concludes with 54 miles from St. Joe’s to Pineland on Day 3, through Windham, Falmouth, Cumberland Foreside and Pownal to the Pineland Campus.
