Tree lighting brightens Upper Village

Neighbors gathered in the Upper Village on Saturday afternoon for the annual tree lighting in honor of veterans. Host Mark Ray paid special tribute to resident Bruce Macomber for his long service both in active duty and the community, and Macomber then did the honors, lighting the tree’s red, white and blue lights.

The gathering concluded with familiar carols, sung by candlelight and led by Betty Jordan, and with Ray’s wish for peace and goodwill to all in New Gloucester and beyond.
