Eleven outdoor enthusiasts had a good hike on the Bradbury-Pineland trail last week. Several of the walkers saw a moose thrashing in the woods – a first for the group. Fresh footprints in a muddy section alerted us that the animal was in the vicinity.
We decided to go back to Libby Hill Forest to try the trail that goes down to the Thayer Brook bog. The hike will have some moderate descents and ascents. On Wed., Sept. 4th, 10 am we will start from the Libby Hill Forest parking area at 50 Libby Hill Road in Gray across from the GNG Middle School. You can find information here.
Please dress for the weather and the walking conditions.
Stay safe and keep active.
