We had a beautiful day for our walk to the falls on Meadow Brook in the Talking Brook Public Land last week. Our nine-person group enjoyed easy camaraderie as well as the scenic spring multi-colored greens of the forest. The trail is in good shape and the bugs were not bad. All and all, a very pleasant morning.
Please join us on Wednesday, June 11th at 10 a.m. at Thayer Brook Preserve, 92 Ramsdell Road in Gray. See details about Thayer Brook Preserve here. We are heading back to that trail to get a better look at the rookery habitat.
Please wear the proper footwear for a rooted and somewhat rocky trail. Grabbing protection for ticks is always a good idea.
