UPDATE: Conditions at the Talking Brook trail are very icy. To make sure we can walk safely, let’s go to Pineland on the 14th at 10 a.m. instead. The weather looks like it will be okay. We will meet at the Conference Center parking lot. You can find the Pineland map here. — Anne Maurice
Last Wednesday was a beautiful winter day, great for walking on Sabbathday Lake and looping back along the shore trail to Aurelius Cascades. We enjoyed the higher sun and the contrasting tree shadows dancing on the white snow throughout the woods. Eighteen walkers turned out to enjoy the weather.
The Pisgah Hill Full Moon trek is on Sat, Feb 24th and I plan on going. You can register on the Royal River Conservation Trust site under Events – no fee. Let me know if you want to join me.
