Last week’s walk was washout – rain, rain, and more rain at the 10 a.m. hour. A few folks braved getting wet and got in a few steps.
Weather looks to be better this week. On Wednesday, October 29, 10 a.m., let’s walk the Royal River Conservation Trust and Maine Farmland Trust River Elf Trail. The parking is at 400 Cobbs Bridge Road, New Gloucester. The trail is mostly in the woods and has moderate elevation and descent down to the Royal River. It’s a well-marked trail and more information can be found here.
Please come prepared for the weather and walking in the woods. There are lots of fallen leaves this time of year.
