Everyone was dressed up for the cooler weather on the walk to Big Falls. The trail is in good shape; however, there is not much water in the brook. It is a very pleasant 1.7 mile hike with some roots on the trail and some uphill climbs. The sun and blue sky capped off an enjoyable outing.
Next week we will try a new hike which was recommended by one of our walkers. Mt. Apatite Park in Auburn is near the border of Minot and offers a variety of trails. There is parking off Small Road at 2 Small Road, Auburn. Mount Apatite does come up on GPS and you can find more information here.
Please come prepared for the weather and walking conditions. Wearing orange is always good this time of year.
