Trail walk at Libby Hill Forest Wed. Jan. 25

Twenty walkers gathered for a trek on the Pineland roads last week.  We challenged ourselves by walking the big hill near the sledding area and clocked 1.9 miles.  Lots of lively chatter and intermittent rest stops encouraged us along and we all made it in good form.

So far Wednesday’s weather looks to be okay between storms.  Let’s meet on January 25th, 10 am at the parking lot for the Libby Hill Forest Trails at 50 Libby Hill Road which is across from the Gray Hannaford.  Janet and I snowshoed there on Saturday and it was an enjoyable hike.  Hiking boots or snowshoes will work on the trail.  We would have the option of walking the road if the trail has too much snow from today’s storm.  You can find a map here.

Just a reminder to dress for the weather and the walking conditions of the day.

Have a good week.  Stay safe and keep active.
