Last week’s three-mile walk at Pineland Farms, on the Oak Hill trail, provided us with dappled sun through stands of trees and running water in the ditches next to the trail.
Our next walking adventure will take us to Hedgehog Mountain trail in Freeport. The trailhead is on Hedgehog Mountain Road just off of Elmwood Road (also known as Pownal Road). A gravel parking area is located on the left just before the recycling center (transfer station) gate.
