Trail walk at Bradbury State Park Wednesday Oct. 8

Cheryl led us on a hike/woods adventure to the tree that holds the eagles’ nest on Sabbathday Lake last week. Looking up at the bottom of nest from the ground and exploring the droppings near the trunk was fun. It gave us all a very different perspective as to the size of the tree and type of protected habitat the birds choose to make their nest.

We’ve been timing our regular fall Bradbury Mountain hike to hit peak autumn color. Let’s meet at Bradbury Mountain State Park on Wednesday, October 8th, at 10 a.m., to hike to the top and take in the views. The parking lot is located to the right after you enter the park. You can find more information here. The GPS address is 528 Hallowell Road, Pownal.

Please come prepared for the weather and the trail which will have some rocks and roots.

Stay active and safe.
