On behalf of the Town of New Gloucester, we are shocked and saddened by the events that occurred Wednesday, October 25 in the City of Lewiston. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families who lost loved ones, those who were injured and any who were touched in some way by this horrific act of violence. We commend the heroism of law enforcement and first responders who put their lives on the line to treat the injured and wounded, including our own New Gloucester Fire & Rescue Department who responded without hesitation.
We are asking all residents of New Gloucester to come together to support our neighbors and friends to the North and remember that we are all Mainers at this difficult time.
