The Town of New Gloucester received notice on Friday, January 14th, from the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention, that there has been a case of animal rabies in a raccoon recently in the Town. Please remember to stay clear of any animals you suspect that may be rabid and contact the Animal Control Officer if its a domestic animal or Inland Fisheries and Wildlife if its a wild animal.
