Author Tess Gerritsen, whose scalpel-sharp novels have topped bestseller lists for years and been published in 40 countries, will speak at the New Gloucester Public Library on Tuesday, September 26, at 6 p.m. She’ll talk about her work and give a preview of her next novel, coming out in November.

Gerritsen trained as a doctor and began writing fiction while practicing medicine, experiences that led her to write and publish best-selling medical thrillers. From there, Gerritsen moved to crime thrillers, penning her popular Rizzo and Isles series, featuring homicide detective Jane Rizzo and medical examiner Dr. Maura Isles. The Rizzo and Isles series, now more than a dozen books strong, also led to a television show.

What can readers expect next from Gerritsen? Come to the Library, 379 Intervale Road, on Tuesday at 6 p.m. to find out!
