Maine State Police and the state fire marshal are investigating a fire incident that occurred Saturday at a home in New Gloucester.

Local agencies arrived on the scene at 1342 Intervale Road at around 2:30 p.m., according to a dispatcher with the Cumberland County regional communications center.
Both the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office and New Gloucester Fire Department declined to answer questions about the incident Saturday afternoon beyond confirming an investigation.
Maine State Police spokesperson Shannon Moss confirmed that state authorities had taken over the incident around 5:20 p.m.
The New Gloucester fire chief did not immediately respond to calls Saturday afternoon.
