General Incident Description: At 1439hrs, New Gloucester Fire and Rescue was dispatched along with the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office and the Maine Warden’s Service for a snowmobile that struck a house with injuries. While enroute to the call A1 requested a heavy rescue from Gray due to potential structural instability and the potential need for additional assistance.
Upon arrival on scene, it was determined that the porch to the house had collapsed with a snowmobile underneath the rubble. One patient was rapidly transported to Maine Medical Center and the scene was turned over to the Warden’s Service.

Mutual Aid to the Station: None
Injuries: One patient with serious injuries was transported to Maine Medical Center with crews from both New Gloucester and Gray.
Factors: The cause of the crash is being investigated by the Maine Warden’s Service.
