Re: February 2, 2021 Storm Day

There is a National Weather Service Storm Warning in effect from 3:00 p.m. this afternoon through 7:00 p.m. Tuesday with an expected snow accumulation of up to 13 inches and gusty winds up to 35 m.p.h.

MSAD 15 will not have school tomorrow, February 2. We will not have a “remote instruction storm day” tomorrow. Since we have fortunately only had one storm day this year, we can provide this as an opportunity for students and staff to have a break from school.

However, as per our official MSAD 15 calendar, we are required to have 171 student days this school year. As per our teacher contract, teachers are required to work 182 days this year. Therefore, we will have to make up tomorrow’s storm day in June.

As we proceed through the months of February, March, and April, we are pretty much guaranteed to have more snow days. If and when these storm days occur, we may implement the “remote instruction storm day” option.
