The Select Board will meet on Tuesday, October 14, to continue preparations for the October 27 Special Town Meeting on the Pineland Athletic Building lease and the donations from Planson International to fund it.
October 14 agenda topics include information updates and a review of the draft town meeting warrant, along with a training session with the town attorney about Select Board members’ roles and responsibilities.
New Pineland-related information in the meeting packet includes a three-year cash flow analysis for the Pineland proposal. It begins with the $200,000 Planson gift supporting a two-year lease and includes a potential third year if the community continues the lease. The projection outlines lease, staffing, and related expenses, along with anticipated revenues as Recreation Department programs and participation expand over time. Find the full analysis on page 4 of the agenda packet.
Also in the packet: a draft table of contents for the town meeting information booklet (p. 3); a July report from Code Officer Eric Cobb about the cooling tower, pool wing roof and gym floor (pp.7-12); and a draft of the October 27 town meeting warrant (pp. 13-16).
