The Select Board will meet Monday August 22 to discuss and award a contract for a new replacement ambulance for the town.
The formal meeting will be followed by a board workshop to discuss the process and criteria for making appointments to town boards and committees. The lack of a clear, consistent approach has led to uncertainty and frustration among residents and board members alike – hence the board’s effort to develop a fuller written policy and the workshop tonight.
The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Meetinghouse and will be live-streamed at this link and broadcast on local cable. As of posting time, word was that the workshop will not be live-streamed and broadcast – just the meeting. (We inquired and if there’s a change, we’ll update here.)
As for the new ambulance, bids were received from four firms, each offering multiple models and configurations, some 10 in all for the board to consider. Find a spreadsheet detailing the bids and a related memo from Interim Fire Rescue Chief Craig Bouchard in the meeting agenda packet at this link.
