Select Board and Charter Commission candidate forum videos available online

Campaign signs across town are signalling an election season in full swing!

Learn more about who’s running for Board of Selectmen and the Charter Commission by watching two recent candidate forums, now available online.

Forum with select board candidates. A double-header forum on May 5 featured candidates for two three-year seats and one one-year seat on the board of selectmen. The forum was moderated by Ben Tettlebaum.

— All three three-year term candidates Karen Gilles, Steve Hathorne, and Paul Larrivee participated. One-year term candidates Linda Chase, Brian Shedlarski, and Dustin Ward participated; Scott Doyle did not attend.

Forum with candidates for Charter Commission. A May 6 forum brought together candidates for Charter Commission. Terry DeWan moderated.

— All 11 commission candidates participated: Mike Arata, Cindy Brakey, Peter Bragdon, Dan Ellingson, Karen Farrell, Steve Hathorne, Penny Hilton, Michael Lang, John Salisbury, Ben Tettlebaum, and Cleo Werner. (Kathleen Potter previously withdrew from the race.) Voters will elect six members to the commission.

A forum with school board candidates slated for May 13 has been cancelled, as Deborah Lang has withdrawn from the race. Jason Hart will now be running unopposed.
