The Biodiversity Research Institute came to Sabbathday Lake on Tuesday, June 4, to weigh, measure and band the single eaglet that is now 7 weeks old. The director of the Raptor Program and his team coordinated their visit with Diantha Grant, who monitors the eagles throughout the year. She and her husband, Don, had the thrill of holding the eaglet!

Thanks to Diantha Grant for sharing these terrific photos and details about the lake’s young resident. ~ J.C.
