New Gloucester – Rocky Lee Thurlow, 66 of New Gloucester, passed away on Saturday, September 17th at his home. He was born July 14th, 1957 in Lewiston, the son of George and Effie Thurlow, Sr.
Rocky was a longtime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 4131 and the American Legion Post 86.
He was predeceased by his parents, his brother George and his former wife and longtime companion, Eleanor Thurlow.
Survivors include his children, Brad Liberty and wife Vicky of New Gloucester, Tammy Frechette and husband Aldee of Sabattus. Grandchildren Angela, Amber and Hunter Liberty and Tawny Wilson. Seven Great Grandchildren: Caden, Dillon, Colby, Destinee, Athena, Brennon and Walker. Siblings: Judy (Bob) Mattern, Debbie Thurlow, Linda Thurlow, Donna (John) Greenlaw, Patricia (Arnold) Eldridge, Catherine Thurlow and Darlene Thurlow along with numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a graveside service at the New Gloucester Cemetery, Bald Hill Road, New Gloucester on October 14th at 11am with a Celebration of Life immediately following at the Eagles Club in New Gloucester.
