Public hearing for solar project, review of All-Purpose Storage expansion Sept. 20

On Tuesday, September 20, the Planning Board will hold a public hearing on Novel Energy Solutions’ proposed 65,866 s.f. solar farm and will review an application to add two new buildings and enlarge two others at All-Purpose Storage on Route 26.

The hearing and the board meeting to follow will start at 7 p.m. in the Meetinghouse and will be live-streamed on Town Hall Streams at this link.

Public Hearing and review Novel Energy Solutions, Lewiston Road

The board will hold a public hearing on Novel Energy’s proposed 2,742-panel project, to be located off Lewiston Road near the Turnpike and the Auburn line, in the Residential C district (Map 10 Lot 48-C).

Following the hearing, the board resume its review of Novel Energy’s application, the first project to undergo review under the town’s Solar Energy System ordinance, approved by voters in July 2020.

All-Purpose Storage expansion, Route 26

The board is slated to review an application from Patriot Holdings, LLC, of Las Vegas, to add two new storage structures and expand the footprint of two existing buildings at All-Purpose Storage, 41 Maine Street (Route 26). The new buildings would be 12,000 s.f. and 16,000 s.f. and located at the rear of the parcel.

The 12-acre property currently has seven storage buildings and two sheds. It is located in the Residential C and Groundwater Protection Overlay Districts.
