Public engagement session: Talking Brook Public Land (Big Falls Preserve expansion-transition)

|Royal River Conservation Trust|

4:00 pm Thursday, October 20th, 2022, at the end of Woodman Road (park on road shoulders), New Gloucester.

Join RRCT and representatives of the Maine Bureau of Parks & Lands and the Trust for Public Land to review details of the planned creation of Talking Brook Public Land, a 200-acre conservation property in New Gloucester and Auburn including the current 40-acre Big Falls Preserve and the current Norumbega Trails.

The project is made possible by the robust work of The Trust for Public Land and the patience and vision of the Fralich family and Norumbega Cidery, LLC.

On-site discussions will include an overview of planned new parking, trail reconfiguration (new, relocated, and some closure plans), and planned uses. We are looking for your input.

Join us with your questions, or contact info@RRCT.org.

Note also that RRCT’s Habitat Bunch and RRCT Trail Crew and Get Out! Nature Walks are hosting sessions at Big Falls-Talking Brook this fall. Join us at any of these venues, or reach out for specific input on any topic.

Detailed project maps and plans are at RRCT’s Big Falls Preserve website (scroll to the “Planned Expansion” tab).
