Pitch in to help make summer care kits

The First Congregational Church is putting together summer care kits with essentials that will be distributed to unhoused folks across Maine. The kits are in collaboration with Maine Needs, a grassroots group that provides direct support to those in need across the state. And you can help.

Each summer care kit is assembled in a ziplock bag and contains

  • Tick spray
  • Sunscreen
  • Nail clippers
  • Travel size tissues
  • Chapstick
  • $5 Dunkin Donut gift card

You can pitch in by assembling kits yourself or simply donating items from the list. Drop off your kits or items at at the Congregational Church, 19 Gloucester Hill Road.

The church office is typically open and staffed Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, but given summer schedules, please call to check before you come by: (207) 926-3260.

You can also drop off kits or items when you come to the Strawberry Festival on Thursday, June 29!
