With the election the following day, the November 4 Select Board meeting is understandably brief.
One of the handful of items on the November 4 agenda is a traffic control proposal for the December 8 visit of Wreaths Across America to the Veterans Monument in the Upper Village. Find a sketch of the proposed detour at p. 5 of the meeting agenda packet.
The board will also discuss the implications of the expiration of the Pineland TIF in 2031. They raised several questions at their last meeting, including the tax impact of adding the Pineland campus into the town’s property valuation. Mike O’Donnell of John E. O’Donnell and Associates, which does assessing for New Gloucester, sent a memorandum in response. Read it at pp.6-7.
The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the Meetinghouse and will be live-streamed at this link.
Public comments may be submitted by email before 10 a.m. on Monday, November 4, to townmanager@newgloucester.com and smyers@newgloucester.com. If you want your written comment read aloud, please indicate that in the subject line.
