Nu Brewery selling to Brickyard Hollow Brewing

A liquor license request from Brickyard Hollow Brewing Company on the Select Board March 20 agenda sent us looking. Following is a post by Nu CEO Russell Voss on Nu Brewery’s Facebook page about Brickyard Hollow and the impending sale. – Eds.

“As promised we have some exciting news to announce regarding the future of the brewery and its home in New Gloucester. In order to provide continued quality beers and an inviting location for tastings and events, we have decided to sell our business to Brickyard Hollow Brewing Company (www.brickyardhollow.com) effective immediately.”

“Their well-known and expanding brand started in Yarmouth a few years ago and has grown to multiple locations throughout Maine. They are entirely owned and operated by Mainers living and supporting their communities in so many unique ways.”

“Even though this will require numerous changes to our existing operation we are excited at the prospect and potential of what the immediate future looks like.”

“First and foremost is that I have been invited onto the Brickyard Hollow team as VP of Brewing Operations. I will continue to work at 437 Lewiston Rd. creating their current brews as well as incorporating my own recipes and experimental nature to produce beers distributed across the region.”

“Secondly, as we rebrand the brewery over the next few months we will be adding a full kitchen so we can bring Brickyard’s unique pizza and sit down dining experience to the tasting room.”

“Thirdly, Brickyard has a passion for community which I share and look forward to helping expand. Their non-profit engagement in fundraising, community involvement and hosting events which support the environment is inspiring. We will continue to run private and public events, host musicians and play Disc Golf!”

“So that’s my exciting news! We are aiming to be open June 15th. Please come by to say hello and check us out this summer.”

Cheers,
Russell
