NG Community Fair returns August 19 – Volunteers needed!

| Peter Bragdon, Community Fair Committee Chair |

We are excited to announce the New Gloucester Community Fair will be returning this year on Saturday, August 19. The Community Fair Committee is looking for help in all the areas listed below. In exchange for helping, a donation will be made to your group, club or organization.

These tasks are vital and need to be covered in order to continue to hold the fair:

  1. Set-up before the fair – Will need four individuals available on Friday August 18th for up to three hours. Duties will include setting up tents, cones, signs, trash cans and other similar tasks.
  2. Parking Attendants – Will need six individuals available the day of the fair to oversee parking. The hours required are 8:30 am to 2:30 pm. There will need to be a minimum of four people available all day and there should be extras to cover breaks. Safety gear and training will be provided.
  3. Clean-up after the fair – Will need four individuals available immediately after the fair for up to 2 hours. Tasks will include general tear down, picking up signs, cones, trash, and other duties.

This is a great opportunity for your local group, club or organization to help the fair while earning money. If you have more questions or are interested in helping, please reach out as soon as possible.

Applications for vendors, community groups, and more will be available by the end of the month. We will announce the roll-out. The applications will be solely electronic-based this year. We are excited to bring some new fresh ideas and hope you will be joining us.
