Are you moved by the spoken word – poetry? A short short-story or essay? A soliloquy from Shakespeare, etc.? A famous speech? Something from your bookshelf, found online, or something written by yourself or a friend? Come share it in a comfortable space with friends and neighbors. Refreshments will be available.

Re Performing – Open to all word-lovers from 12 years old up.

  1. You Must Register by Tuesday, April 23 (see last section below).
  2. You may perform multiple short pieces as long as the entire performances runs no longer than 10 minutes – please time your rehearsals.
  3. Title and Author must be clearly announced as you begin.
  4. A microphone and chair or stool will be available (you don’t have to use either as long as we all can hear and see you.)
  5. Arrive at the Barn by 6 PM with one extra copy of any original work you will be sharing, and we will set the order of performances and do some nerve-quieting.

Re Attending

  1. Doors will open for seating at 6:30 PM
  2. Anyone who wishes to make videos or take pictures must do so from the very back or very sides of the room, so as not to distract performers or audience.
