Maine-based singer-songwriter Carole Wise comes to the Village Coffee House in New Gloucester on Saturday night, March 2, at 7 p.m. for what promises to be a very special evening.
Combining lyrical songwriting and intricate guitar/mandolin playing, Wise creates songs of love, loss, finding self, and society’s issues – always with a silver lining. She’ll play selections from her new album, North Star.
One of the songs on North Star is “In My Hometown,” composed by Wise in response to the October tragedy in Lewiston, her hometown. Hear Wise perform the song, accompanied by evocative images by photographer-videographer Richard Plourde, in the official music video of “In My Hometown” on YouTube at this link.
