I hope you and your families have been enjoying the summer. Everyone is looking forward to the new school year and return of our students. This letter will provide the information you need to help plan for the first days of school.
School Start & End Times:
| High School/Middle School | Start: 7:30 a.m. | Students may begin arriving at 7:00 a.m. | End: 1:50 p.m. |
| Dunn School | Start: 8:50 a.m. | Students may begin arriving at 8:20 a.m. | End: 3:10 p.m. |
| Memorial/Russell School | Start: 9:10 a.m. | Students may begin arriving at 8:40 a.m. | End: 3:30 p.m. |
First Student Day of School
- Pre-K (Dunn School) Orientation Day will be on Tuesday, August 29, 2023.
- Pre-K (Dunn School) Visiting Day will be on Tuesday, September 5, 2023.
- Pre-K (Dunn School) will have their first day on Wednesday, September 6, 2023.
- Kindergarten orientation and student/parent bus ride will be on Tuesday, September 5, 2023.
- Kindergarten first full day on Wednesday, September 6, 2023.
- Students in grades 1, 2, 3, and 4 will have their first day on Tuesday, September 5, 2023.
- Grades 5 and Grade 9 (Freshmen) will have their first day of school on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, to welcome students and provide orientation in their new schools.
- Grades 6, 7, and 8 will have their first day of school on Wednesday, September 6, 2023.
- Grades 10 (Sophomores), 11 (Juniors), and 12 (Seniors) will have their first day of school on Wednesday, September 6, 2023.
Transportation:
The new 2023-2024 school year busing information is available to view. To find your student’s bus information, please visit the MSAD15 website and transportation tab at the bottom of the page. If you have any problems accessing your information, please call the transportation department at 207-657-9480. Please be sure to check back between now and the start of school, as times may change slightly due to ridership changes and updates.
Unfortunately, we do not have enough bus drivers to provide transportation to every student who needs or wants bus transportation. Last school year, many parents generously offered to transport their students to school rather than take the bus. We ask families who can continue transporting their students this year; we appreciate your willingness to help the school district with this challenging problem. Fortunately, we can provide van transportation services to 100% of our students who require van transportation services.
PowerSchool Student Data Update: Please update all your PowerSchool information now to ensure we have the correct information for bus pick up and drop off, mailing addresses, emergency contact information, and other important student/family information. Bus routes are being created now and accurate information is needed. Please use the link below to update your student’s information if you have not already done so for the 2023-2024 school year.
