I hope you and your families have been enjoying the summer. Everyone is looking forward to the new school year and return of our students. This letter will provide the information you need to help plan for the first days of school.
School Start & End Times:

| Dunn School | Start: 8:50 a.m. | Students may begin arriving at 8:20 a.m. | End: 3:10 p.m. |

First Student Day of School
- Pre-K (Dunn School) Orientation Day will be on Friday, August 23, 2024.
- Pre-K (Dunn School) Visiting Day will be on Wednesday, August 28, 2024.
- Pre-K (Dunn School) will have their first day on Tuesday, September 3, 2024.
- Kindergarten Orientation and student/parent bus ride will be on Wednesday, August 28, 2024.
- Kindergarten will have their first full day on Thursday, August 29, 2024.
- Students in grades 1, 2, 3, and 4 will have their first day on Wednesday, August 28, 2024.
- Grades 5 and Grade 9 (Freshmen) will have their first day on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, to welcome students and provide orientation in their new schools.
- Grades 6, 7, and 8 will have their first day on Thursday, August 29, 2024.
- Grades 10 (Sophomores), 11 (Juniors), and 12 (Seniors) will have their first day on Thursday, August 29, 2024.
Transportation:
The new 2024-2025 school year busing information is available to view. To find your student’s bus information, please visit the MSAD15 website and transportation tab at the bottom of the page. If you have any problems accessing your information, please call the transportation department at 207-657-9480. Please be sure to check back between now and the start of school, as times may change slightly due to ridership changes and updates.
On the first days of school, we ask that students are at their bus stop 10-15 minutes prior to their scheduled pick-up time and that parents be prepared for the possibility of the bus arriving 10-15 minutes after their scheduled time. As students, drivers and the community re-acclimate to buses being on the road, delays can arise that alter the scheduled timing of bus runs. We ask for your patience during these first few days.
Our Transportation Department is more fully staffed than in recent years. We can provide transportation to all students whose families request it—parents who want their children to have transportation need to register for transportation on PowerSchool. We appreciate the diminished demands on the transportation system if parents can drive their children or if students can drive themselves.
PowerSchool Student Data Update: Please update all your PowerSchool information now to ensure we have the correct information for bus pick up and drop off, mailing addresses, emergency contact information, and other important student/family information. Bus routes are being created now and accurate information is needed.
