General Incident Description: At 2106hrs, New Gloucester Fire Alarm transmitted a still alarm for a motorcycle accident in the area of 568 Bald Hill Road. New Gloucester Engine 2, Ambulance 1, and Squad 1 responded, along with three members who responded in private vehicles. Ambulance 1 arrived on scene first to find the operator of the motorcycle with injuries. The motorcycle was off the roadway. Ambulance 1’s crew, with the assistance of other responders, began patient care and moved the patient to the ambulance.
Ambulance 1 transported the patient to Central Maine Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, delivering the patient to definitive care in 30 minutes from the time of the tone. Engine 2, Squad 1, and remaining responders cleared, turning the scene over to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.

Injuries: One transported with non-life-threatening injuries.
PSA: This is our third serious accident in the past three days. We would like to remind everyone of to please drive in control, drive within the speed limit, remain focused on the road, and utilize safety devices such as helmets for motorcycles and seatbelts in motor vehicles. This is a general safety message, not related specifically to any of the three accidents.
