Message to the community from the Library

| Sue Hawkins, New Gloucester Public Library – April 1 |

Story Time was a big hit yesterday.  Unfortunately, because of Governor Mills’ Proclamation, Carla and I are headed home to stay when the doors shut today, so that means that there will be no more Story Time on Channel 1302.  If you are on facebook, you might want to check out the New Gloucester Fire and Rescue page.  Word has it that they are doing a story time.

Looking for something to do? Check out the NG Parks and Recreation site for challenges and virtual programming ( While there, sign up for their newsletter so that you can keep up to date on what is going on.

Once Carla and I leave today, we won’t be back until the order is lifted.  Feel free to leave us messages, and we will check phone messages from home.  This closing also means that the book drop will be closed.  You will not be able to return items until further notice.  So just hold on to them, reread or rewatch.  We will let you know when the drop is open again.

To help you kill time, we have borrowed a list of sites to visit from Falmouth Memorial Library and added some of our own.  Enjoy! We are both looking soooo forward to seeing you again.  Keep safe, keep reading and get out and play.  We will get through this.  And something to look forward to: Miss Carla and I are planning on having a Grand Reopening when life gets back to normal.

~ This list was originally created by Will Brown, Youth Services Librarian, and Andrea Kazilionis, Adult Services Adult Services Librarian, at the Falmouth library. We then took it and made it ours, or should I say New Gloucester’s. ~
