The New Gloucester Environmental Resources Committee is offering lobster trap composters for sale, making it easy to keep food scraps and yard trimmings out of the landfill and instead turned into garden-enrichers.
The first 40 composters are available for $80 each. Once they’re spoken for, the price will be $90. Lids are available for $15. Each composter has a 254-gallon capacity and is 3 feet tall.
Bring your check to the Library, payable to “Maine Resources Recovery Association,” by Wednesday, April 19. Pick-up will be the week of May 30th, exact date and location TBD.
