Dear Town Manager,

Being an avid Bookworm AND now a recently published Maine author, the library is such an essential part of my life and that of many others.

My husband and I looked high and low for a beautiful spot to live when we came to Maine, just over a year ago and we found it in New Gloucester. All I have ever wanted is to be in a quaint, small town with a Village Store and a beautiful library. Well, we have found both.

The library is such an important part of ‘community’ and it is so essential that the town people and their children have access to this as much as possible. After all, a library is a receptacle of knowledge, a gathering place and so much more.

On top of that, it could not be staffed with two more dedicated and knowledgeable women, such as Suzan Hawkins and Carla McAllister. They are part of what makes New Gloucester the gem that it is.

My husband will be at the meeting to offer support, but I will be out of town that week, so I felt it was important that I give my support where needed.

Yours sincerely,
Lynae Maxim
