Dear New Gloucester friends and neighbors,
We are so fortunate to receive so many nonperishable food items from all of you! Our monthly plea is for items that we are unable to get through Good Shepherd and help us provide a well-rounded box of food for those in our community who may otherwise go hungry.
Our July food request:
- Mayonnaise
- Peanut butter
- Jams/jelly
- Crackers
- Healthy cereal
- Baked beans
- Coffee
- Toilet paper
We are blessed with a convenient drop-off location for your donations at the New Gloucester Public Library. Many thanks to Emily and Ellie. We are also fortunate to have the volunteer staff at the NGXchange providing important community news including our monthly food requests at no cost.
If you know of neighbors in need, please let them know we distribute food the 2nd & 4th Saturday mornings from 8 to 9:30 a.m. behind the First Congregational Church of New Gloucester.
We always welcome new volunteers of all ages to help sort, pack, pick up and distribute food. It is a great summer activity for the children, and we could use a family to stock and straighten our shelves. If you are interested, please call the church office 926-3260.
Warmly,
Erin Pendexter Stone
