Community members are invited to a talk and exhibition hosted by Unity College on May 29. It will take place on May 29 at 5 PM at Freeport Hall, 70 Farmview Drive, quite 200 on the Pineland campus.
Join us for a talk led by Professor Ben Porter discussing Fiore’s varied catalogue of work. An abstract oil painter and collagist, Fiore’s works are inspired by the natural world with several pieces rooted in Maine landscapes. In 1959 Fiore and his wife purchased a farm in Jefferson, Maine where he painted many of his works. He taught at Black Mountain College, Philadelphia College of Art, the Maryland Institute of Design, the Parsons School of Design and the Artists for Environment Foundation. Pop-up art exhibition and reception will follow the talk.
