JC & the ACES at Village Coffee House Saturday Feb. 3

Get on out for another rockin’ rollin’ night at the Village Coffee House with JC & the ACES on Saturday, February 3, at 7 p.m., 19 Gloucester Hill Road (the church vestry building).

JC calls his music ‘Roots Music,” but while the music comes from blues, folk, swing, country, rhythm and blues, rockabilly, swing and more, the main thing is ‘re-purposing’ great songs from any genre to fit their style.

Sources range from Fats Domino to the Band to Muddy Waters to Jesse Winchester to Van Morrison to Johnny Cash. Check out their music here or their Movin’ Picture Show.

jc & the ACES are Jeff Christiansen on guitars, mandolin and vocals; Jerry Adamson upright bass and guitar, and Chris Hartogh on drums.

The Village Coffee House show will start with an ‘un-plugged’ set and then ‘plug in!’ for a second set.

The show starts at 7 pm. Tickets at the door $10.
