For our walk on January 11, 10:00 am, we will meet at the Poland Spring Resort at the County Club parking lot. The address is 640 Main Street, Poland Spring, ME. Go up the hill and take the left that goes in front of the Inn. The road will take you to the parking area. We will assess the walking conditions that morning to determine if we walk on the road or take one of the trails.
Our first walk of 2023 started out strong with 17 walkers on Jan. 4 – WOW! It was a lively bunch with lots of conversations going on as we walked from the top of Pineland to the Education Barn and back. Frank Knight tracked our trek at 2.6 miles. Given the strange winter weather so far, the group decided to stay on the tarred surface for safety reasons. It worked out well – giving our walkers a good chance to catch up on their holiday activities.
