James Marshall

| Obituary from Wilson Funeral Home |

James Marshall, 82, of New Gloucester passed away peacefully at his home on January 28, 2024, and is now in the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

He was born on July 24, 1941, in Portland to Harold and Pearl Marshall. He attended schools in the Portland area and always had the spirit and nature of a self-made man. He loved being his own boss and providing opportunities for others. This was just one small part of his wonderful spiritual gift of having a servant’s heart and being a great administrator.

In 1988, the business of ChrisLynn Inserts was created. In the beginning, Jim and Beth tirelessly ran the business out of their New Gloucester home before moving it to its current location in Auburn, Maine. Due to their efforts, it has become a success in the U.S. as well as internationally.

Jim’s greatest legacy is his family. He absolutely adored and cherished them all. His love and light will shine on for generations through each of them.

He is predeceased by his precious son Brad, his parents, his brothers Duane Marshall, Billy Marshall, and his sisters Yvonne (Rita) Leathers and Patty LaPointe.

He is survived by his precious and beautiful wife of 53 years Bethany; sons Darryl Marshall, Scott Marshall, Stephen Marshall and his partner Janel Maloney; daughters Lynn Marshall and Christine Marshall Stokes and her husband Jamie; his brother Ronnie Marshall and sister Kathy Dow; several grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

Jim had a wonderful sense of humor and was always the life of any family gathering or party. He truly lived his life to the fullest and because of this, all those who know and love him are better people because of it.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 2nd from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Keeley’s Banquet Center, 178 Warren Ave., Portland, ME. All are invited to attend. The eulogy will be given at 4:30 p.m. If anyone would like to share a story about Jim, you are more than welcome. Burial will be later in the Spring.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made as a gift of remembrance to: Androscoggin Home Healthcare and Hospice, 236 Stetson Road, Auburn, ME 04210 or via the donate tab on their website at androscoggin.org.

Heaven is rejoicing now, and Jim is at peace in the arms of God and is reunited with Brad. Well Done Good and Faithful Servant…
