— Thursday night update from GNG Little League: 8:15pm start on ESPN due to a rain delay
Massachusetts champions Canton Little League defeated Salem, New Hampshire’s team 5-0 in semi-final action on Wednesday afternoon to set up a re-match with Gray-New Gloucester/Raymond in the New England region final on Thursday.
The championship game will be broadcast on ESPN on Thursday, August 10, at 7 p.m. The winner will advance to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
In their previous meeting on Monday, Gray-New Gloucester/Raymond beat Canton by a score of 7-1. Pitcher Mason Amergian was the winning pitcher and hit a grand slam. In an earlier match-up, the Maine team had defeated New Hampshire 3-0.
